Resolved to Blog

I am resolved to catch up on past blogs that never made it to publish in 2008 and to keep up with updates throughout this year.

I am so excited about the events to come this year for Sarah Hilton Photography. Be watching for fun specials throughout 2009 - including a model search with great prizes!

Happy New Year!

Miss B.

I first saw Miss B. several months ago at the county fair, when she won the contest for brightest smile. I had the pleasure of creating some portraits of her in her home. She is a smart little cookie - and obviously adorable with those amazing brown eyes!

We were able to create some lovely Christmas cards for Miss B.'s mom to send out, using a series of images of Miss B. with the Christmas tree. So special!

Mr. D.

This good-looking guy met me outside a few days ago for a VERY windy, cold session. We worked quickly and were able to get great captures, despite the less-than-ideal conditions. He is a 2009 senior, and we made it just in time for yearbook submission for his school.

C. Family

About a week ago, I met with this great family for some outdoor portraits. I photographed one of their handsome boys for some sports images earlier in the year.

This family is one of my new favorites. They are easy-going, fun, and of course good-looking. We'll be getting together for another outdoor session in the spring, which I know will be rewarding.

Miss Jen.

Earlier this month, this lovely senior model and I met for her first senior portrait session. It was COLD! The first cold, very dreary, windy day we had in a long, long time, and we chose that day for an outdoor session. I'm so glad we did, though. The session was great, and we got so many amazing images. She is, as you can see, a lovely young lady, with a personality to match. I'm looking forward to another fun play session this spring. Thank you so much Jen and Julie for making the trip and enduring the cold, dreary day. It was worth it!

Miss R.

Miss R. is so full of smiles. We had a fun outdoor session last week. I was hot as I ran around to keep up with her. You can see the personality in this portrait, can't you? What a sweetie little cutie-pie!

This image was captured a half second after she got into the basket and a half second before she fell backwards in the basket and never wanted to get back in again!

Baby Belly

At the end of August, I had a wonderful little weekend getaway to Ft. Worth, Texas, to meet up with my best friend (college roomie way back when), so we could capture some maternity portraits for her. She lives way over on the East coast, so we just don't get to see each other often.

We didn't have much time for the session, really, and it was hot. (August in Ft. Worth: Not a big surprise that it was hot, huh?) I had so much fun wandering downtown for some creative shots. I would love having easier access to the great urban setting of the bigger cities on a regular basis. I also captured some impromptu images of her two adorable little ones, as we were saying our goodbyes.
